Getting to know the EXCO: Project Managers Tasha,Mooris and Tim

from tasha to tim:

First Impression:
I thought that Tim looked like a nice, approachable person. He seemed like as if he had experience talking in front of a crowd because for the rally speech, he appeared comfortable and at ease. He displayed a calm, confident persona.

Working experience:
Well, so far, i don’t think i’ve had many opportunities working with him. I think we’ve only worked on the Fernvale MINDS and sandcastle project together. From those experiences, i believe that he has a somewhat expressive face. He is not afraid to voice out his views and suggestions. He will take the lead, when he is given the opportunity and does a good job at it.

Most memorable moment:
That would probably be when we had the exco outing where we had the walk at the mangroves in Pasir Ris. All of us had to also put together our S-LC vision and motto which was in puzzle form. Then yeah, after that we all decided to eat at Ehub! and played pool. It was nice to hang out outside school as friends, all of us exco people.

Message to Tim:
Hope to know you better next year. May you pull through life’s black, lacy veil. J

Getting to know the EXCO: Project Managers Kelly and Nadhirah

From Kelly to Nadhirah
Nadhirah seemed like a conscientious person when I first met her; she looked like she was a happy-go-lucky person who would handle every assignment thrown her way in a light-hearted manner. I worked with Nadhirah for writing a letter the CG for the sandcastle building project. She is very professional, who insists on finishing the task even if it means we will sleep late. Thus I know she is a person who does not give up easily. My most memorable moment, or moments of Nadhirah is that we are from the same class, so we often went to Exco meetings and outings together. She is not only my peer evaluation buddy, but also my real-life buddy.
Message to Nadhirah: Thanks for being my ‘partner in crime’ for Exco moments. Being a programme manager, I could always clarify doubts with you first. It’s been a fun year to be in Exco with you.

OCSP to Cambodia

hello!

here's an email i received from Jingkai.

Dear All,

I'm organising a YEP in June to work in Prey Veng Cambodia. Here are the details.

Date: 7-21 June 2010
Location: Prey Veng, Cambodia (east of Phnom Penh)
Scope: Build low-cost house for a poor villager, and interaction with kids at an orphanage (games and concert)
Cost: I will be collecting about 700, but final cost should be closer to 500

Requirements for Volunteer: Big hearts, Willingness to learn and share, Not afraid of being exposed to elements (especially the sun), and willingness to work hard. I cannot over-emphasise the need to work hard as the timeframe for preparation is extremely short. So everyone has to be very hands-on.

Other skills like marketing, cooking, design, photography, videography, dance, music would be more than welcome.

Please feel free to contact me at 9159 5500 or email jingkai@gmail.com for enquiries.

those who are interested, please do go for it! =D
